Use vaccines with even greater confidence thanks to a new device

Sanofi Pasteur, a global leader in the vaccines industry introduces The HEATmarker®: an innovative, first of its kind device in South Africa.

The HEATmarker® is an accurate self-adhesive device that instantly tells you if the vaccine has been stored under the right temperature conditions and is suitable for use. This device will help you easily identify and discard compromised products, assess cold chain management throughout the supply chain, and guarantee vaccine integrity in terms of temperature storage. Product wastage is reduced by retaining usable vaccines that could have been incorrectly discarded on suspicion of heat damage.

In 2011, Vaxigrip® Adult (0,5ml) pre-filled syringes will come enhanced with a new science-based, time-temperature indicator technology that will, at a glance, show you if the vaccine is heat-damaged or not – giving you confidence to use the vaccine.
